The Reign

by - April 01, 2018

It was my reign

All wishes granted before I'd even state them
My heart always joyous and content
Love in every eye;
Like a doll was I cosseted
And so much was my throne coveted.

They couldn’t bear a frown on my forehead
Nor was a tear ever welcome.
Crying wasn’t a usual phenomenon then.

No sooner would I run to my room and hide underneath my blanket,
Than she would rush in, caress with her warm touch my fore
And would bring that smile back again.
I was a little cherub..cute frocks..big eyes..everyone’s beloved!

My reign it was

Wonder what snatched away those reigns…
Wonder where would I find them again…
